Soon, you’ll be able to go right to CD Baby, and say “I want Stony Man”, and they will know just what to do. Until then, just e-mail us at kentipp@cox.net. We’ll know just what to do too.

A Brief History of Stony Man

First, about a zillion years ago, a bunch of tectonic plates smash into each other, and a big mountain range pops up in Virginia, on the Skyline Drive, over near Criglersville, sort of between Sperryville and Luray. They call one of the mountains Stony Man. Then, way up in Michigan in the late 1890’s Orville Gibson gets this idea to build a mandolin. He does, and then wants a bigger one. So he makes a mandola, and then he makes a mando-cello too. Then, a guy named Marconi builds a radio. Somebody else invents the record player, then somebody else discovers the CD. A little while later, Stuart, Kent, and Henry start a group called Stony Man. Then they make a CD, and call it “Turn Your Radio On”. Oh, somewhere in there somebody else comes out with electricity, railroad trains and the internet. Then somebody else invents CD Baby.
